Now You Can Disable Google’s Lately Introduced Proposed – Gmail Smart Respond


Google, a technology giant has come up with various innovative technologies to make our work easy and smooth.
One such innovative gift by Google is the Gmail smart reply. It was launched with the motto to help Gmail users to draft their email in a lesser time.
Since from its inception, this Artificial Intelligence-based “Smart Composed” features is embraced by many Gmail users. There are also many users who do not like Gmail to prompt reply for their emails.
Why People are Liking and Disliking Gmail Smart Reply?
There are various reasons for which Gmail support users are embracing this new way of writing emails. One of the foremost reasons is that it saves your time by just make you aware to cut back the repetitive writing. Along with that it also helps in reducing the chance of spelling and grammatical errors.
But there are some Gmail users who don’t like this feature. According to a report, there are two major reasons why people criticizing Smart Reply.
The first reason to criticize the email is that it awfully saves a lot of time by predicting extremely short answers. These answers are mostly of 3 to 4 words and Gmail has built it on the bases of phrases.

It is because of this reason, people who wish to write long emails and to explain themselves, for them, it’s quite irritating, to sum up, their emails in few words. So in another way, it does not really save the time of its users.
The second and the most important reason is privacy. In one its blog Google said that to compose a smart reply, Google bots have to scan billions of emails and composed replies which are based on the phrases.
It means that the automated replies by Gmail are developed after algorithm of Google scan the whole email from subject to email body and the generate replies accordingly.
Option To Turn Off Gmail Smart Reply
With lots of buzz going around the globe and with a bundle of mix reactions towards the Gmail smart reply feature, Google has decided to give its users to turn off the smart reply features.
In April 2018, Google has updated the new interface of Gmail. It enhanced inbox features and with that has introduced Smart Reply features for desktop version also.
In the mobile version, there has always been the facility to turn off Smart Reply feature. In a phone, you can opt out of this email by going to Settings then to general and then remove the checkmark from “Show suggested replies when available”.
But for the desktop version of Gmail smart reply, no such option was available.
But until now!
Recently Google has rolled out its smart reply turn off feature for desktop version also. Here’s how you can turn off Smart Reply on desktop Gmail:
1. Login into your Gmail account on the suitable browser.
2. Go to setting
3. Start scrolling down to the Smart Reply setting.
4. Switch to Smart Reply Off.
5. Scroll down more and select “Save Changes”.
Problem solved! The smart reply feature is off with the changes done.
Just so you know: You can also turn off Gmail Support smart composed feature there. It is the feature which analyzes your text and display suggestions on the basis of your writing.
Go to Writing suggestions off option in the same setting and turn off the feature as well.
